The 1997-1 nest is empty. The last chick left the nest on March 17th.
While post-nest feeding the youngsters, the female start building a new nest in another, identical
lamp on the patio on March 19th.
This is the first Costa's
nesting occurrence in my yard for 1998. These pictures were taken February 21th.

This immature male Rufous Hummingbird was taken during a fall migration period. Very busy time at the
feeders.
